DESCRIPTION
MLVC08V018C360 is a high-energy multilayer varistor from the MLVC series engineered to absorb high-energy transient voltages and provide fast-response ESD protection in electronic devices. This component features a working voltage of 18 Vdc with a varistor voltage of 27 V at 1 mA, delivering rapid response to voltage spikes with a maximum clamping voltage of 40 V at 1.4 A. The device exhibits excellent energy absorption characteristics of 0.3 J and a peak current rating of 100 A, with a typical capacitance of 460 pF at 1 MHz. The MLVC08V018C360 is housed in a compact 0805 (2012 metric) surface-mount package and is widely used for ESD port protection in mobile phones, tablets, game consoles, set-top boxes, and various consumer electronics and industrial applications requiring reliable transient suppression.
