DESCRIPTION
The 1170-21-25A is a compact single-pole thermal automotive circuit breaker designed for extra low voltage wiring systems on vehicles and marine craft. It features a push-to-reset, tease-free, trip-free snap action mechanism with a separate colour-coded manual release (white actuator for 25 A rating), and is fitted with blade terminals for plug-in mounting to DIN 72581, part 3 with retaining clips. The breaker operates at DC voltage ratings of 12 V, 24 V, or 48 V (maximum 58 V), with a typical voltage drop of less than 150 mV at the 25 A rating and an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It provides reliable protection with an interrupting capacity of greater than 10 times at 200 A (at 48 V DC) and meets Type III to SAE J 553 standards. This circuit breaker is ideal for automotive applications requiring compact, cost-effective protection with convenient manual override and thermal trip characteristics.
