DESCRIPTION

The DLP-232PC is a miniature USB-based data acquisition and microcontroller module designed for low-cost measurement and control applications. It features 14 configurable channels supporting digital I/O, temperature sensing, and analog voltage measurement (0–5 V range on 8 channels), powered entirely from the USB port via a USB Type-B mini connector. The module integrates a PIC18F2410 microcontroller, an FTDI FT232R USB interface IC operating at 24 MHz, and communicates at 460,800 baud using single-byte ASCII commands compatible with Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems. The compact PCB measures 1.375 × 0.6 inches with an 18-pin 0.3-inch DIP header interface, and operates over a 0–70 °C temperature range with ±5.3 V maximum voltage tolerance on I/O pins and 25 mA sink/source current per channel. Typical applications include data acquisition, industrial process control, process monitoring, and laboratory instrumentation where simple USB-based measurement and control are required.
