DESCRIPTION

The DAT71210P is a UL-approved, normally open high-voltage reed relay designed for high-reliability applications requiring very high isolation voltages. It features a 10kV isolation rating across contacts with a choice of rhodium or tungsten contact materials, enabling low contact resistance or higher voltage switching capability respectively. The relay operates with a 12V DC coil, requiring 9V to operate and 1.25V to release, with operate and release times of 3.0 ms and 2.0 ms respectively when a diode is fitted. It supports maximum switching power of 50W, maximum switching voltage of 7000V (tungsten) or 1000V (rhodium), and maximum switching current of 2A (tungsten) or 3A (rhodium), with a contact resistance of 250 mO maximum for tungsten or 50 mO maximum for rhodium. The panel mount configuration with wire wrap terminals makes it suitable for high-voltage power supplies, test equipment, and cardiac defibrillators where high isolation and reliability are critical.
