DESCRIPTION

The P78A05-0500 is a non-isolated switching DC-DC converter designed to provide a regulated 5V output. It operates over a wide input voltage range of 7V to 28V and delivers a maximum output current of 500 mA, corresponding to 2.5W of power. This converter features a high typical efficiency of 92% and low ripple and noise of 50 mVp-p. Housed in a compact SIP3 package with short-circuit protection, it is pin-compatible with LM78XX linear regulators. This makes it an ideal high-efficiency upgrade for various applications, improving thermal performance and energy savings without requiring PCB redesign.
