DESCRIPTION

MLS442M040EK0A is a 125°C ultra-long-life aluminum electrolytic capacitor rated for 40 Vdc with a capacitance of 4,400 µF and ±20% tolerance. Housed in a rugged stainless steel FlatpackTM case with a 1.5-inch length (EK case code), it features a near-hermetic welded seal and 18 AWG copper wire terminals rated for 20 amps maximum. The capacitor exhibits an ESR of 97 mO at 25°C and 70 mO at 85°C, with a ripple current capability of 10.3 A at 85°C (120 Hz) and 12.1 A at 20 kHz. Designed for high-reliability military systems and applications operating above 85°C, it delivers 100 years of expected operating life and withstands altitudes exceeding 80,000 feet, making it ideal for demanding aerospace, defense, and industrial applications requiring exceptional reliability and thermal stability.
