DESCRIPTION
MLP162M100EA0D is an ultra-low-profile Type MLP 85°C FlatpackTM aluminum electrolytic capacitor designed for voltage holdup and filtering applications in military, telecom, and computer systems. The capacitor features a 1600 µF capacitance with ±20% tolerance, rated at 100 Vdc (125 Vdc surge), and operates across a temperature range of -55°C to +85°C. It delivers exceptional ripple current capability of 5.6 A at 85°C case temperature (20 kHz), with an ESR of 76 mO maximum at 25°C (120 Hz), and can have its ripple current capability doubled by attaching an external heatsink. The capacitor is housed in a compact 2.0-inch length case (EA) with a maximum height of 0.50 inches, weighing 42 grams, and features 18 AWG copper leads rated for 20 amps maximum. Its nearly hermetic welded seal assures 50-year life at +45°C, making it ideal for demanding applications requiring long-term reliability and compact form factors in high-density circuit packs.
