DESCRIPTION

MC12ED270J-F is a Type MC multilayer RF mica chip capacitor designed for high-frequency, high-power applications requiring excellent RF performance. The capacitor features a 27 pF capacitance value with a 500 Vdc voltage rating, housed in a 1210 case package measuring 3.2 mm length by 2.5 mm width with a maximum height of 2.0 mm. It exhibits extremely high Q at UHF/VHF frequencies, with low ESR characteristics and a high dV/dt rating of 20,000 V/µs, making it suitable for demanding RF circuits. The natural mica dielectric provides superior performance compared to ceramic alternatives, with excellent thermal stability and freedom from cracking on FR4 boards. Common applications include MRI coils, RF instruments, power amplifiers, tuned LCR circuits, and mobile radio systems where reliable high-frequency performance is essential.
