DESCRIPTION

The 6-140-Y is a 6-terminal barrier block with solder Y terminals designed to provide electrical isolation and protection in terminal connection applications. It features a molded monoblock construction with general purpose phenolic insulation (UL Rated 94V-1) and brass eyelets with nickel plating, supporting a maximum voltage rating of 250 VAC RMS and current rating of 15 amps per terminal. The block accommodates wire sizes up to #16 AWG with a recommended screw eyelet tightening torque of 9 lb.-in., and operates reliably across a wide temperature range of -55°F to +300°F. This barrier block is ideal for applications requiring interposing barriers between terminals to achieve higher electrical ratings and provide additional protection against frayed wire shorting, making it suitable for industrial control panels, power distribution systems, and equipment requiring robust terminal management.
