SMCJ90CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment applications. The device features a working peak reverse voltage of 90 V, a breakdown voltage of 111 V, and a maximum reverse leakage current of 5 A, with typical fast response times of less than 5.0 ns from 0 V to minimum breakdown voltage. It is housed in a compact SMC (DO-214AB) surface-mount package and offers peak pulse power dissipation of 1500 W (at 1 ms pulse width) and steady-state power dissipation of 5.0 W at 75°C junction temperature. The device operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C and is RoHS compliant with lead-free termination, making it ideal for protecting sensitive circuits against transient overvoltage events in modern electronic systems.
