DESCRIPTION

The SMBJ13A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in compact surface-mount applications. This device features a working peak reverse voltage of 13 V, with a breakdown voltage range of 15.3 V to 17.2 V, and is housed in the DO-214AA (SMB) package format. The SMBJ13A offers fast response times of less than 1.0 picosecond and a maximum peak current rating of 28.2 A, with a clamping voltage of 19.5 V at 10 mA. It is RoHS compliant and rated for 600 watts power dissipation, making it suitable for protecting sensitive electronics in portable communications, computing, and video equipment against transient overvoltage events per IEC 61000-4-2, IEC 61000-4-4, and IEC 61000-4-5 standards.
