DESCRIPTION

SMAJ78A is a transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. It features a surface mount SMA (DO-214AC) package with a standoff voltage of 78 V and a maximum peak pulse power dissipation of 400 watts at 1 ms pulse width. The device operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C and exhibits fast response times typical of transient suppression devices. With lead-free construction and RoHS compliance, the SMAJ78A is ideal for protecting sensitive circuits from transient overvoltage events in compact, high-density applications.
