DESCRIPTION

SMAJ70CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection applications in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. The device features a working peak reverse voltage of 70 V with a breakdown voltage range of 77.8 V to 86.0 V, and is housed in a compact surface-mount SMA (DO-214AC) package. It delivers a peak pulse power dissipation of 400 watts at 1 ms pulse width and a steady-state power dissipation of 1.0 watt at 75°C lead temperature, with typical response times under 5.0 picoseconds. The SMAJ70CA is RoHS compliant, UL recognized, and rated for IEC 61000-4-2 ESD (Level 4), IEC 61000-4-4 EFT, and IEC 61000-4-5 Surge protection standards, making it ideal for protecting sensitive electronic circuits from transient overvoltage events.
