DESCRIPTION

SMAJ30CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. This device features a working peak reverse voltage of 30V, breakdown voltage range of 33.3V to 36.8V, and is housed in a compact DO-214AC (SMA) surface mount package. The SMAJ30CA delivers 400 watts peak pulse power dissipation at 1 ms pulse width and maintains steady-state power dissipation of 1.0 watt at 75°C lead temperature, with typical response times under 5 picoseconds. The device operates across a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C and is RoHS compliant with UL recognition (File Number E153537). It is ideal for protecting sensitive electronics against transient overvoltage events per IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD), IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT), and IEC 61000-4-5 (Surge) standards.
