DESCRIPTION

The SMAJ14A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. It features a working peak reverse voltage of 14 V, breakdown voltage range of 15.6 to 17.2 V, and a peak pulse power dissipation of 400 watts at 1 ms pulse width. The device is housed in a compact DO-214AC (SMA) surface mount package with fast response times and is RoHS compliant with UL recognition. It is suitable for applications requiring IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection (Level 4), IEC 61000-4-4 EFT, and IEC 61000-4-5 surge protection, making it ideal for protecting sensitive electronic circuits from transient voltage events.
