DESCRIPTION

The SM453229A-381N7Y is a discrete chip LAN transformer designed for 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet applications. It provides a minimum inductance of 380 µH at 100 kHz (0.1V, 0mA) and exhibits a maximum insertion loss of -1.5 dB across the 1-100 MHz frequency range. The component features a 1:1 turns ratio and is built to withstand a Hi-Pot test of 1500 Vac and a pulse voltage of 2400 V. As an AEC-Q200 compliant device with an expanded operating temperature range of -40 °C to +105 °C, it is well-suited for demanding automotive environments. The discrete design allows for flexible PCB layout and can be paired with a common mode choke for enhanced EMI reduction.
