DESCRIPTION

PEC12R-4215F-N0024 is a 12 mm incremental encoder designed for audio-visual equipment, consumer appliances, musical instrumentation, and communications equipment. This encoder features a horizontal mount configuration with axial PC pins and no bushing, an insulated flatted shaft of 20.0 mm length, and a push momentary switch with 24 pulses per 360° rotation for precise position feedback. The device outputs 2-bit quadrature code with a contact rating of 10 mA at 5 VDC, operates continuously with a maximum RPM of 100, and exhibits a contact bounce of 2.0 ms maximum at 15 RPM. The switch provides 0.5 ± 0.3 mm travel with an actuation force of 610 ± 306 gf and contact resistance of 100 milliohms at 5 VDC. Operating over a temperature range of -30°C to +70°C with an insulation resistance of 10 megohms at 250 VDC, this encoder delivers reliable performance for level control, tuning, and timer settings in professional audio and consumer applications.
