DESCRIPTION

The P6SMB15A is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection applications in compact surface-mount SMB (DO-214AA) package format. It features a breakdown voltage range of 14.3 to 15.8 volts with a peak pulse power dissipation of 600 watts at 1 ms pulse width, and a typical temperature coefficient of 0.1% per °C. The device exhibits fast response times of less than 5.0 picoseconds from 0V to minimum breakdown voltage and is RoHS compliant and halogen-free. The P6SMB15A is ideal for protecting sensitive electronics in portable communications, computing, and video equipment against transient overvoltage events per IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD), IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT), and IEC 61000-4-5 (Surge) standards.
