DESCRIPTION

MF-FSML050/8-2 is a low-ohmic PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) resettable fuse from Bourns' MF-FSMLX series designed for automated surface-mount assembly in space-constrained applications. This device features a 0.50 A hold current (Ihold) at 23°C, a 1.00 A trip current (Itrip) at 23°C, and operates at a maximum voltage of 8 V with a maximum current rating of 50 A. The fuse exhibits ultra-low resistance with a minimum of 0.060 O and maximum of 0.500 O, providing quick response with a maximum time to trip of 0.6 seconds at rated conditions and typical tripped power dissipation of 0.5 W at 23°C. The device is RoHS compliant, halogen-free, and carries cUL and TÜV certifications, making it suitable for thermal protection in wearables, Li-ion and polymer battery packs, PC motherboards, mobile phone charging circuits, HDMI source protection, and game console port protection applications.
