DESCRIPTION

ISOM8-250-B-L2 is a hybrid protection component from the Bourns IsoMOV Series that combines Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV) and Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) technologies for superior surge protection. It features a maximum continuous operating voltage (MCOV) of 250 Vrms / 320 Vdc, a nominal current rating of 8 kA, and low capacitance of 50 pF at 20 kHz. The device offers high energy handling density with ring wave surge capability of 8,000 A for 15 operations and 15,000 A for 10 operations, along with a maximum clamping voltage of 675 V at 200 A. Operating over an extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C with very low leakage current (< 10 µA), this component is ideally suited for AC and DC power applications requiring premium surge protection performance, long service life, and space savings.
