DESCRIPTION

GDT216E-80-T1-BX is a high energy gas discharge tube (GDT) arrestor from the Bourns GDT216E Series, designed for surge protection in power systems and industrial equipment. This 2-electrode device features an 800V DC breakdown voltage with ±20% tolerance, a maximum impulse breakdown voltage of 1500V (1.2/50 µs), and a maximum impulse discharge current of 40 kA on an 8/20 µs waveform. The device operates over a wide temperature range of -55°C to +105°C and offers fast response time with breakdown time less than 100 ns. With its 16 mm diameter, single side terminal (T1) configuration, and UL recognition (1449-4), this RoHS compliant GDT provides reliable overvoltage protection for surge protective devices (SPDs) and high-density applications.
