DESCRIPTION

The 01005-680 is a 2.5-inch H25 heavy-duty incremental encoder designed for industrial automation and hazardous location environments. It features a square flange (D) housing configuration with a standard 3/8-inch shaft and includes EMI shielding, high-precision ball bearings, and matched thermal coefficients for reliable long-term operation. The encoder meets IP65 protection rating (IP66 when ordered with shaft seal) and operates across a wide temperature range of -40°C to +100°C storage and extended operating ranges, with shock resistance up to 1000 m/s² and vibration tolerance up to 300 m/s² (50–2000 Hz). It supports multiple output configurations including ABZ channels with complementary outputs, standard resolutions from 1 to 2500 ppr, and various connector options (M18, M16, M12). The encoder is suitable for machine control, motion feedback systems, and applications requiring high noise immunity in electrically noisy automation environments, with available certifications for intrinsically safe and non-incendive hazardous area ratings.
