DESCRIPTION
The NPS44-M is a 40 W open-frame AC-DC power supply from Artesyn's NPS40-M series, delivering a fixed 15 V output with single output configuration. It features universal input voltage (90 to 264 VAC or 127 to 300 VDC), typical full-load efficiency of 87%, and no-load power consumption less than 300 mW. The unit provides a maximum load of 3 A with convection cooling and 4 A with 200 LFM forced air, with output regulation of ±2% and ripple of 150 mV peak-to-peak. The NPS44-M includes medical and ITE safety approvals (UL 60950-1, UL 60601-1, IEC 62368-1), dual AC fuses, remote sense capability with 0.5 V lead drop compensation, and overload/short-circuit protection. It operates from 0°C to 80°C ambient temperature with demonstrated MTBF exceeding 550,000 hours at full load and 25°C, making it suitable for information technology equipment, light industrial systems, and non-patient contact medical, dental, and laboratory applications.
