DESCRIPTION

LPS48 is a 48V output model in the Artesyn LPS40 series of compact open-frame switch-mode power supplies designed for medical, test and measurement, and telecommunications applications. The unit accepts universal input of 85 to 264 VAC or 120 to 300 VDC and delivers 40W of output power with free air convection cooling, or 55W with 30 CFM forced air cooling. It features output overvoltage and short-circuit protection, remote sense capability with 0.5V lead drop compensation, built-in EMI filter, and very low safety ground leakage current of less than 0.5 mA at 50/60 Hz. The LPS48 provides ±2% regulation, 480 mV peak-to-peak ripple, and operates reliably across 0°C to 50°C ambient temperature with demonstrated MTBF exceeding 550,000 hours at full load and 25°C. Its compact 3" × 5" footprint and less than 1U height make it ideal for space-constrained applications requiring medical-grade power conversion.
