DESCRIPTION

ASA01A18-LS is a 6-watt isolated DC-DC converter from Advanced Energy's Artesyn ASA series, designed for applications requiring robust power conversion in harsh environments. It features an input voltage range of 9–36 Vdc with a single 5 V output capable of delivering 1.0 A maximum current, achieving 81% efficiency at nominal input voltage and maximum output current. The converter provides 1500 Vdc minimum input-to-output isolation with 10 MO insulation resistance, 1500 pF insulation capacitance, and operates at a switching frequency of 200 kHz with output voltage tolerance of ±2.0%, line regulation of ±0.5%, and load regulation of ±0.5%. The fully encapsulated metal case measures 31.75 × 20.32 mm with a height of 10.16 mm, meeting Mil-STD-202G vibration requirements and UL/CSA 62368-1 safety standards. It is ideal for ruggedized applications in telecommunications, industrial equipment, and mission-critical systems where reliable isolated power conversion is essential.
