DESCRIPTION

ASA00B18-LS is a 6-watt isolated DC-DC converter from Advanced Energy's Artesyn ASA series, designed for applications requiring regulated 12 V output from a 9–36 Vdc input supply. The converter delivers 12 V at 0.50 A maximum output current with 81% efficiency at nominal input voltage and full load, operating at a switching frequency of 200 kHz. It features 1500 VDC minimum input-to-output isolation, ±2.0% voltage tolerance, ±0.5% line regulation, and 120 mV output noise/ripple, with auto-restart short-circuit protection and a temperature coefficient of ±0.02/°C. The unit is fully encapsulated in a compact 1.25 × 0.8 inch (31.7 × 20.3 mm) metal case with 0.4 inch height, meeting Mil-STD-202G vibration requirements and UL/CSA 62368-1 safety standards. This converter is ideal for ruggedized applications in harsh environments, telecommunications, industrial equipment, and systems requiring reliable isolated power conversion with wide input voltage tolerance.
