DESCRIPTION
AET04A36-L is a 20-watt isolated DC-DC converter from the Artesyn AET series designed for ruggedized applications in harsh environments. It accepts an input voltage range of 18–75 VDC and delivers a regulated 5 VDC output at 4A, with an efficiency of 85% at 12V output. The converter features 1,500 VDC minimum input/output isolation, output voltage tolerance of less than 1.6%, line regulation of +0.5%, and noise/ripple of 100 mV across all models. Protection mechanisms include auto-restart short-circuit protection and overvoltage protection set at 115–130% of nominal output, with a switching frequency of 300 kHz. The unit operates reliably over an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +71°C and is encapsulated in a compact 50.8 × 40.6 mm metal case with a height of 12.2 mm, making it ideal for space-constrained applications requiring high reliability and isolation performance.
