The 14-3518-10 is a Series 518 open frame socket featuring 4-finger collet contacts and solder pin tails, designed for efficient utilization of board space with optimized cooling characteristics. The socket body is constructed from black UL 94V-0 glass-filled nylon, with brass 360 pin bodies and beryllium copper collet contacts, offering multiple plating options including gold, tin, and tin/lead combinations. Key electrical specifications include a contact current rating of 3 amps, operating temperatures up to 221°F (105°C) for tin and tin/lead plating or 257°F (125°C) for gold plating, with insertion forces of 180g/pin and withdrawal forces of 90g/pin for standard pins.
