The JAND38999/33W9N is a military-specification receptacle dust cover intended to protect unmated MIL-DTL-38999 Series III connectors from environmental hazards and impurities. This cover features a conductive Cadmium (W) plating over a base of aluminum alloy and stainless steel, ensuring robust performance in a wide operating temperature range of -65°C to 175°C. The finish is qualified for 500 hours of salt spray resistance according to SAE-AMS-QQ-P-416. It serves as a crucial accessory for maintaining the integrity of connector interfaces in harsh and demanding environments when the connector is not in use, and includes a QPL-approved stainless steel rope lanyard.
