RJE881880400 is an 8-position, 8-contact modular jack connector manufactured by Amphenol Commercial Products, designed for unshielded applications without integrated LED functionality. The connector features a high-temperature thermoplastic housing with UL 94V-0 flammability rating in black color, and utilizes phosphor bronze contacts with selective gold plating on mating surfaces. Key specifications include a nickel underplate of 50 µ" (1.27 microns) minimum and tin plating of 100 µ" (2.54 microns) minimum on contact tails, with a recommended solder process of wave soldering peaked at 260°C for 5 seconds maximum. The connector accommodates multiple gold plating options (3 µ" to 50 µ") and tail length configurations (2.70 mm to 3.50 mm), making it suitable for telecommunications, networking, and industrial panel-mount applications requiring reliable modular connectivity.
