DESCRIPTION

The AZ980-1A-12DER is an 80 A mini-ISO automotive relay designed for high-current DC load switching in vehicle electrical systems. It features a 12 VDC nominal coil with a must-operate voltage of 7.8 VDC and maximum continuous voltage of 19.0 VDC, with a coil resistance of 90 O (±10%). The relay provides an 80 A contact rating in SPST normally open (Form A) configuration, switching up to 1120 W at 30 VDC maximum with silver tin oxide contacts and contact resistance less than 50 milliohms. It operates reliably across -40°C to 85°C ambient temperature, with an operate time of 7 ms and release time of 5 ms at nominal coil voltage, and is rated for 1×107 mechanical operations and 1×105 electrical operations at 80 A. The relay's high momentary carry current of 500 A, quick-connect terminals, and robust construction make it ideal for automotive power distribution, battery isolation, and motor control applications where reliability and high current capacity are critical.
