DESCRIPTION

The AZ8462P1-12 is a single-coil latching microminiature polarized relay manufactured by American Zettler, designed for low-power signal switching and control applications. This relay features a DPDT (2 Form C) contact arrangement with bifurcated crossbar contacts, a nominal coil voltage of 12VDC, and a coil resistance of 1440 ohms (±10%). The device operates with a maximum pickup power of 79mW and offers exceptional reliability with a mechanical life expectancy of 1×108 operations at 3Hz and electrical life of 1×105 operations at 2.0A, 30VDC. It provides high dielectric strength of 2.5kV surge (per Bellcore TA-NWT-001089) and 1,000Vrms across open contacts, operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, and achieves operate and release times of 4ms maximum at nominal coil voltage. The relay is available in both DIP and SMT mounting configurations, features epoxy sealing for automatic wave soldering, and is ideal for telecommunications, industrial control, and low-level signal switching applications where compact size and stable contact resistance are essential.
