DESCRIPTION

FCS-08-SG is an 8-position flat cable IDC (Insulation Displacement Connector) socket featuring standard single wire contacts with 2.54mm (0.100 inch) pitch. The connector utilizes a PBT glass-reinforced insulator rated UL 94V-0 with phosphor bronze contacts plated with gold flash over nickel on the contact area and tin over copper underplate on the IDC edge. Electrical specifications include a maximum operating voltage of 250 VAC, current rating of 1 Amp, contact resistance of 20 milliohms maximum, and insulation resistance of 5,000 Mohms minimum at 500 VDC. The dielectric withstanding voltage is rated at 500 VAC for 1 minute. This lead-free, RoHS compliant connector is suitable for flat cable termination applications in electronic assemblies requiring reliable IDC connections.
