DESCRIPTION

The 3421-7000 is a 20-position wiremount socket from the 3M 3000 series, designed for insulation-displacement contact (IDC) termination. This specific model features a closed-end cover and military-style dual slot polarization. The contacts are made of copper alloy with 30 μ” gold plating in the wiping area and are designed to accommodate 26 and 28 AWG solid or stranded wire. Built with a UL 94V-0 rated glass-filled polyester insulator, it operates reliably in temperatures from -55°C to +105°C. This socket mates with compatible 3M headers and plugs, providing a robust quick connect/disconnect solution for various electronic systems.
