The 2858043 is a plug-in surge protector designed for a compatible base element, providing protection for two floating signal wires. It operates with a nominal voltage of 12V DC, a maximum continuous voltage of 14V DC, and a nominal current of 450 mA. This device features a nominal discharge current of 10 kA and a total surge current handling capability of 20 kA, with a response time of 500 ns. Its two-piece, pluggable design allows for impedance-neutral disconnection for easy testing and maintenance, making it suitable for protecting fieldbus systems, PROFIBUS, and other sensitive signal circuits.
