DESCRIPTION

The OPB100-SZ is a silicon phototransistor sensor designed to be paired with an infrared emitter for optical switching and sensing. It is housed in a low-profile, plastic package with a snap-in design for easy installation without screws, suitable for mounting on 0.059" (1.50 mm) thick material. The sensor features a collector-emitter breakdown voltage of 30V, a maximum collector dark current of 100 nA, and is capable of sensing over distances exceeding 36 inches (91.4 cm) when paired with an emitter. Common applications include non-contact interruptive sensing, assembly line automation, machine safety, and low-speed data communications.
