DESCRIPTION

The MPLAD36KP51A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor in a low-profile, surface-mount package designed for high-power applications. It features a working standoff voltage of 51 V, a maximum clamping voltage of 82.4 V at a peak pulse current of 437 A, and a low standby current of 10 µA. This AEC-Q101 qualified device provides a peak pulse power rating of 36,000 W for a 10/1000 µs waveform and is designed to minimize thermal resistance. Typical applications include lightning protection, automotive load dump protection, and meeting multi-stroke lightning standards like RTCA DO-160 for aircraft design.
