DESCRIPTION

The MIC2920A-12WS-TR is a fixed 12V, 400mA low-dropout voltage regulator designed for efficiency and robustness. It features a very low dropout voltage, typically 400mV at a 400mA load, and a low quiescent current of 140µA, making it ideal for battery-powered applications. This regulator incorporates key protection features including current limiting, thermal shutdown, reverse battery protection up to -20V, and can withstand automotive load dump transients up to 60V. Housed in a SOT-223 package, it is well-suited for automotive electronics, cellular telephones, and high-efficiency linear power supplies.
