RS-285G05A2-URT is a surface-mount tactile switch from the RS Series designed for consumer electronics, computer peripherals, household appliances, and audio/visual equipment. The switch features an operating force of 160 ± 50 gf with a minimum releasing force of 50 gf, a travel distance of 0.25 ± 0.10 mm, and an exceptional operating life of 100,000 cycles with load. It is rated for 50 mA at 12 VDC with an initial contact resistance of 100 mO maximum and an insulation resistance of 100 MO minimum, with dielectric strength of 250 V AC (50-60 Hz). The switch operates reliably across a temperature range of -20°C to 70°C and features a stainless steel cover, polyamide housing, silver-clad spring plate, and silver-plated terminals, making it suitable for demanding applications requiring long-term reliability and consistent tactile feedback.
