24-7040-7601 is a lead-free Sn96.5Ag03Cu0.5 flux-cored solder wire with Kester 275 no-clean flux designed for superior wetting performance in hand soldering applications. The wire features a 0.031 inch (0.80 mm) diameter with a 58% core content and 2.2% flux content, classified as ROL0 per J-STD-004. The product contains halogen and is supplied in 1 LB spool quantities. The 275 no-clean flux chemistry produces an extremely clear post-soldering residue without cleaning and is formulated to reduce spattering common to most core fluxes. This lead-free alloy is ideal for electronics assembly where environmental compliance and superior joint quality are required, offering excellent wetting characteristics for both manual soldering and rework operations.
