DESCRIPTION

The 096521-0827 is a Micro-D metal shell connector featuring 0.050" (1.27 mm) contact spacing with size 24 MICROPIN/MICROSOCKET contacts in a compact, lightweight design. The connector employs aluminum shells to provide superior strength, electromagnetic (EMI) and RFI shielding, and incorporates a silicone elastomer compression interfacial seal to ensure moisture and humidity protection between contacts. It meets stringent environmental and performance standards, including dielectric withstanding voltage of 600 VAC at sea level, insulation resistance of 5,000 megohms minimum, and thermal shock resistance from -55°C to +125°C. The connector is designed for highly reliable applications requiring extreme miniaturization, high contact density, and rugged performance in demanding aerospace, military, and industrial environments.
