DESCRIPTION

The MDM-21PCBRM7 is a 21-contact Micro "D" metal shell connector designed for reliable interconnection in compact applications. It features gold-plated copper alloy crimp contacts with a maximum contact resistance of 8 milliohms, an aluminum shell with yellow chromate/cadmium over nickel finish, and condensed right-angle PCB terminations for direct board mounting. The connector supports a maximum current rating of 3 A and provides a dielectric withstanding voltage of 600 VAC at sea level (150 VAC at 70,000 feet altitude), with insulator resistance exceeding 5000 megohms. It employs a jackscrew coupling mechanism and is rated for 500 mating/unmating cycles at up to 500 cycles per hour. The connector operates reliably across a thermal shock range of -55°C to +125°C and withstands physical shock of 50 G's and vibration of 20 G's (10-2000 Hz for 12 hours), making it suitable for aerospace, military, and industrial applications requiring robust, high-reliability interconnections.
