DESCRIPTION
The 229D24 is a low-profile power transformer designed for PC board mounting with dual primary windings and semi-toroidal construction. It features a 48 VA capacity with universal dual primary input of 115/230V at 50/60 Hz, and secondary output options of 24V center-tap at 2A (series connection) or 12V at 4A (parallel connection). The transformer incorporates low primary-to-secondary coupling with balanced windings, eliminating the need for an electrostatic shield and reducing EMF radiation. It provides high insulation with a hipot rating of 1,750V RMS and Class B insulation rated to 130°C, with 15% regulation. The compact design with low-profile mounting and split-bobbin construction makes it ideal for space-constrained applications in industrial control systems, power supplies, and audio equipment where reliable voltage transformation and isolation are required.
