DESCRIPTION

The 1538M18 is an EMI/RFI choke from Hammond Manufacturing's 1538 Series, designed for filtering and energy storage in electronic circuits. It features a 50 µH inductance (±10%) with a self-resonant frequency of 3.8 MHz and a maximum DC resistance of 0.02 Ohms, supporting a maximum DC current of 10.5 Amps. The choke utilizes high saturation flux density ferrite rods and includes 1" long tinned leads for reliable soldering connections. With typical dimensions of 1.38" × 0.94" × 0.94" and an operating temperature range of -60°C to +85°C, this component is ideal for EMI suppression, power supply filtering, and energy storage applications in industrial and consumer electronics.
