DESCRIPTION

The E-Z1016-8368 is a Cam-Lok J-Series single pole male plug connector designed for industrial power applications requiring reliable connectivity under severe operating conditions. This blue-colored, double set screw non-vulcanized connector accommodates cable sizes 2/0–4/0 AWG and is rated for 600V AC/DC with continuous current capacity up to 300A. The connector features a double cam principle that provides a positive, vibration-proof connection with locked contacts capable of withstanding a pulling force of 1,000 lbs, while 1/3 turn of the cam assures high pressure contact approaching 600 lbs per square inch for minimum resistance. Contacts are carefully machined from high conductivity brass for smooth sliding fit and easy locking action, with watertight elastomeric TPE insulators color-coded for phase identification and recessed contacts protected by an insulating jacket. The integrated strain relief system includes a retaining wire that prevents cable jacket pull-away and bare conductor exposure, and a high-strength molded-in-place locking ring secures the insulator to the contact. Operating ambient temperature range is -40°C to 105°C, and the connector is listed to UL1691 and CSA C22.2 No.1691-12 with NEMA 3R rating. This connector is ideal for motors, generators, indoor and outdoor lighting distribution panels, stand-by power systems, and other demanding industrial power distribution applications.
