DESCRIPTION

The SMCJ130A is a transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. This unidirectional device features a working peak reverse voltage of 130 V, a breakdown voltage of 144 V, and is housed in a compact surface mount SMC (DO-214AB) package with lead-free, RoHS-compliant construction. The device delivers peak pulse power dissipation of 1500 watts at a 1 ms pulse width, peak forward surge current of 200 amps (8.3 ms half-sine wave), and steady-state power dissipation of 5.0 watts at 75°C lead temperature. With typical response times under 1.0 ns and an operating temperature range of -55°C to +150°C, the SMCJ130A provides reliable protection for sensitive electronic circuits against transient voltage events.
