DESCRIPTION

SMCJ10A is a unidirectional Transient Voltage Suppressor Diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. It features a working peak reverse voltage of 10V, breakdown voltage of 11.1V, and is housed in a compact SMC (DO-214AB) surface mount package with lead-free, RoHS-compliant construction. The device delivers peak pulse power dissipation of 1500 watts at 1 ms pulse width and peak forward surge current of 200 amps (8.3 ms single half sine wave), with typical response times less than 1.0 ns. Operating temperature range spans -55°C to +150°C, and steady-state power dissipation is rated at 5.0 watts at 75°C lead temperature. This device is ideal for protecting sensitive electronics from transient voltage spikes and electrostatic discharge events in compact, high-density applications.
