DESCRIPTION

SMAJ250CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. The device features a working peak reverse voltage of 250 V, a breakdown voltage range of 239–301 V, and a peak pulse power dissipation of 400 watts at 1 ms pulse width. It is housed in a compact surface-mount SMA (DO-214AC) package with dimensions of 3.99–4.57 mm length and 2.29–2.92 mm width, and operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C. The SMAJ250CA provides fast transient response and is RoHS compliant, making it ideal for protecting sensitive circuits against IEC 61000-4-2 ESD, IEC 61000-4-4 EFT, and IEC 61000-4-5 surge events.
