DESCRIPTION

The P6SMB6.8CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection applications in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. It features a 6.8 V breakdown voltage with a peak pulse power dissipation of 600 watts and a typical temperature coefficient of 0.1% per °C. The device is housed in a compact surface-mount SMB (DO-214AA) package and is RoHS compliant and halogen-free. With fast response times of less than 5.0 picoseconds and compliance with IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD Level 4), IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT), and IEC 61000-4-5 (Surge) standards, this diode is ideal for protecting sensitive electronic circuits from transient voltage events.
