DESCRIPTION

CD1408-FU1400 is a surface mount ultra-fast rectifier diode designed for high-frequency switching applications requiring 400 V repetitive peak reverse voltage blocking capability. The device features a maximum average forward rectified current of 1 A with an instantaneous forward voltage of 1.05 V at 1 A, combined with a maximum reverse recovery time of 35 ns for efficient switching performance. Housed in a compact 1408 chip package format (compatible with SOD87 and SOD123 footprints), the diode incorporates glass passivation technology, FRP substrate construction with epoxy underfill, and tin-plated connectors for reliable soldering. The device operates across a wide temperature range from -65°C to +175°C and is RoHS compliant with UL 94V-0 classification. Common applications include high-frequency switching power supplies, inverters, free-wheeling circuits, and polarity protection, where its low profile, low power loss, and high efficiency provide significant PCB real estate savings compared to larger competitive alternatives.
